System design is the most important step. Poor design is unfortunately all too common and the number one reason for poor measurement, equipment failure, off spec product, valve cycling, waste, seal failures, spills and injuries. Google Coriolis meter issues and you will find that poor system design is the number one reason cited for measurement problems. A weights and measures approved meter will not be approved for trade unless the complete metering system is correct and passes inspection.
